Crazy Town: A Look Back at the Rap Rock Band
Formation and Early Success
Crazy Town, also known as CXT, was an American rap rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1995 by Bret Epic Mazur and Shifty Shellshock. They gained popularity in the early 2000s with the release of their hit single "Butterfly," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Breakup and Solo Career
After disappointing sales for their second album, Crazy Town split up in 2002. Shifty Shellshock went on to pursue a solo career, releasing an album in 2004. The band has since reunited and continues to perform occasionally.
